What the seminar will encompass:

The seminar will offer a unique opportunity for first timers and experienced visitors to take a fresh look at the JCC-Israel agenda, to meet with some young, forward-thinking leaders in Israeli society, and to receive sophisticated updates about the current situation, for a new and deeper understanding of the challenges that a diverse Israel faces today. Seminar tracks will include a look at the environment, the arts, technology, and security. Please take a look at our preliminary itinerary.

Costs and Travel Arrangements:

Several factors have impacted the cost of this and all Israel trips. As you are all aware, gas prices have gone through the roof, the US dollar is weak, and tourism to Israel is strong (thankfully). All these factors have led to an increase in the costs of this seminar from our original estimates.

Cost of the Israel Seminar land only:

*JCC Association Board/JCC Presidents $2,455 land cost per person sharing double superior room

*JCC Executives $2,220 land cost per person sharing double superior room

There is a single supplement of $960 for JCC Association board members and JCC   presidents and $880 for JCC executives. There are a limited number of upgraded rooms available at the Inbal Hotel.

Participants may make their own flight arrangements to arrive in Israel by the afternoon of January 26, 2009. Participants may make airline reservations through Da'at Travel at the approximate airfare of $1,149 (not including taxes and fuel charges of $515) NY-Tel Aviv-NY for economy class (plus cost of any domestic flight to/from New York.)
